B10 Certificate in Addiction Studies - NUI Maynooth

The aim of this course is to provide participants with a broad overview of the key theoretical frameworks in relation to substance misuse and dependence and to enable them to develop basic help and intervention skills.

Admission requirements:

  • Experience of working in a community setting
  • Experience of working with alcohol or drug related problems
  • Openness to reflect on ones own practice, attitude and beliefs
  • Commitment to learning in a group setting
  • Participants must be 21 years or older
