The MUSO Project
A three-year collaboration between Ireland, England, Holland, Hungary, Germany and France. Last January 16 students from the Rock School, and 4 students of HND in Music Management spent a week in Manheim, Germany at a composition and performance workshop for students from European rock music courses, all at Degree level except BCFE.
Bands were formed with representatives from each country, and the group headed up by our singer/songwriter won the best band award. Subsequently that band visited BCFE for a week and played a gig in Whelans, and also played at the largest European Music Festival in Hungary in August.
Four European students of rock music are studying in BCFE this year, and two of our graduates were offered places on a degree course in Popakademie in Holland. The whole experience will be repeated with a new group in January.
