OVERVIEW

The course gives students a great introduction to the music industry and enables students to explore and develop their skills as musicians and as performers. Students study music theory and music business and collaborate with the music technology students to stage live events. The course is designed to enable students to develop the skills necessary for work in a dynamic and ever changing music industry.

The course gives an introduction to one of three main disciplines of the music industry: music management, music engineering and music performance

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

Five O6/H7 in Leaving Certificate/LCVP including a pass in English or a merit in Leaving Certificate Applied or QQI level 4 Certificate. The academic entry requirements may be waived for mature applicants (21+).

CERTIFICATION

The course gives an introduction to one of three main disciplines of the music industry: music management, music engineering and music performance
