BCFE win @ Folk Music Awards
There was a big contribution from former BCFE students at the RTE Folk Music Awards last night.
Congratulations to former Trad student Sinead Lynch who’s band Landless (in photo) won the Best Folk Group Award.
The award for Best Traditional Singer was presented by former Trad student Daoirí Farrell.
Another former Trad student Alan Doherty performed with a number of acts on the night and features on John Spillane‘s award winning album Fíor Uisce The Legend of the Loch (winner of Best Folk Album).
Congratulations also to Fiach Moriarty (student on Contemporary Music Performance Level 6) whose track I’m for Gallipoli was nominated for Best Original Folk Track.
