Our Musical end of year event ‘CRUCIBLE’ will take place in the Workman’s Club on Tuesday April 29th and Wednesday April 30th, doors open 7.30pm. On April 29th and 30th, step into a furnace of raw creativity at CRUCIBLE—a two-night festival showcasing the best of Ballyfermot College’s creative music courses.
Forged over the past two years, these artists have been melted down, tempered, and reshaped into something truly unique. With a lineup of rising talent—including Helicopter Moon Boy, Daughter Of Phoenix, Miśka, The Affaires, Kabocha, and Afterthought—this festival offers two nights of dynamic, diverse performances where you’re bound to discover something that resonates with you.

Since 1989, the annual Ballyfermot College Music Showcase has introduced artists like Damien Dempsey, Lisa O’Neill, Wallis Bird, Junior Brother, Lucy Blue, and Roe Byrne to wider audiences—creating unforgettable moments in some of Dublin’s most iconic venues.
The HND in Contemporary Music Performance is a two-year programme designed for aspiring professional musicians, offering a deep dive into both the creative and business sides of the industry. Under the guidance of experienced musicians and industry professionals, students refine their artistry, develop industry insight, and build lasting connections with like-minded peers. With a focus on individuality and artistic growth, this unique programme empowers musicians to carve their own path in the world of music.
