ESCENA – Escuela de Animación – visit Ballyfermot Campus
June 19th, FET College Ballyfermot Road/Kylemore Road welcomed ESCENA – Escuela de Animación, with Fraser MacLean, the wonderful team of teachers and successful students of #Crunchtime2025 animation jam. Principal Cecilia Munro, deputy principal Kenneth Rea, Gwen (Weimann) Fagan, Programme Coordinator of Visual Media Degree and Orla Daly, Industry Liaison, met the group for an informative discussion on animation practice, education and the animation industry environment here in Ireland. We had a presentation of our students and graduates work, tour of the building with a thoughtful presentation of PII, the well travelled mascot of ESCENA – Escuela de Animación. The group went onto Brown Bag Films for a workshop and tour of their studio afterwards. Thursday was the final day of their visit to Ireland to see and meet colleges, studio and organisations involved with the animation sector here in Ireland.
