Fibre Art Graduates, 2017 at ‘Sculpture In Context’, Botanic Gardens
The 2017 graduates of the Higher National Diploma in Fibre Art are currently exhibiting their piece ‘Meitheal’ at The Botanic Gardens. They join a range of established and emerging artists who are showcasing their work throughout the gardens during September and October. Our students worked as a team to design and create a large, site-specific outdoor piece which is constructed from textile and ceramic and which is inspired by the creepers in the Alpine Yard, where it is housed.
