Graphic Design Graduates are ICAD ‘Upstarts’!
| Huge congratulations are due to BCFE graduates Chiara Tallarini (left), Helen O’Higgins, Maria Rojo, and Marianna Mooney (all pictured below), on winning places on the ‘ICAD Upstarts’ programme for 2019. The ICAD Upstarts programme, run annually by the Institute of Creative Advertising and Design, recognises and nurtures exceptional creative talent across the Irish advertising and design industries. Places on this exciting creative programme are extremely limited — and highly coveted — and are won by completing a challenging brief issued by the Institute of Creative Advertising and Design.
The winning ‘Upstarts’ are paired with a mentor — an award-winning industry-recognised creative professional — and will work their way through an intensive programme focused on helping them develop their ideas, challenging them to push the standards of their work, including the way they develop and present it. As ICAD states, “the long list of successful creatives who got their start through the ‘Upstarts’ programme is a testament to its ongoing success.” Chiara, Helen and Maria are 2019 graduates of the Higher National Diploma in Graphic Design at BCFE, while Marianna is a past graduate of the Higher National Diploma in Illustration.
