Illustrator Stephen Kavanagh visits college
Illustration teachers and students from both Levels 5 and 6 were delighted to welcome graduate illustrator Stephen Kavanagh for an inspiring visit this week. Stephen delivered an engaging presentation that explored his creative practice, showcasing a diverse range of work including stickers, prints and other illustrated merchandise.
He also shared valuable insights into working as a freelance illustrator, discussing his experience of selling work at various markets alongside running a successful online store. The visit concluded with a fantastic hands-on workshop facilitated by Stephen, where students had the opportunity to explore the creative use of stitch within illustration, gaining new skills and approaches to enhance their own practice.
