Media Technologies BA (Hons) Tertiary Degree launches at FET College Ballyfermot
Embark on a unique, collaborative educational journey with the BA in Media Technologies – a strategic co-designed Tertiary Degree partnership between City of Dublin FET College, Ballyfermot, and Technological University Dublin (TUD). This programme offers a seamless, scaffolded pathway from a Level 5 foundation through to a prestigious Level 8 Honours degree. You will spend your first three years honing your craft in the creative, hands-on environment of FET College Ballyfermot, before transitioning to TUD for your final year of advanced study (either TU Blanchardstown, or TU Tallaght).

Media stream
The Media stream offers a dynamic and comprehensive toolkit for the modern creator, covering the full spectrum of contemporary broadcasting and digital journalism. This pathway encourages a multi-platform approach where you will develop essential skills in radio and podcast production, investigative journalism, and live broadcasting, alongside a critical understanding of social media strategy and digital trends. Film and Documentary stream

How do I get a place?
Entry to this Tertiary Degree is based on an Interview and Portfolio assessment. No CAO points are required. Applications from Mature students are welcomed. There are NO fees at all in the first 3 years and students pay only the Student Registration fee at TU Dublin in Year 4. All students are eligible to apply for SUSI grant funding for all 4 years.
