2k Dublin Studio visit September 2025

Last week – our second year Visual Media Degree (Games) and Tertiary Degree in Immersive Technologies students had the opportunity to experience a day visiting the 2K Dublin office, gaining first-hand insights into the cutting-edge tools shaping the gaming industry (Facilitated by Ballyfermot Alumni Declan Dowling, Brendan Sutton & Fionn Sherrard who now work at 2K).
From stepping inside a motion capture studio to exploring camera motion technologies and other emerging innovations, students had the unique opportunity to see how creative ideas come to life in professional game development environments.
The visit also gave students the chance to connect with industry professionals across different roles, hearing about their career journeys and the diverse pathways into the games sector.
This invaluable experience not only broadened their understanding of the technologies driving the future of games but also highlighted the exciting possibilities awaiting them as the next generation of creators.
