Sean Browne wins Black Shamrock Scholarship 2025/2026
Congratulations to Sean Browne, currently a BA (Hons) Degree Level 8 Games (Visual Media) student, on being awarded the 2025/2026 Black Shamrock Scholarship. Sean won the award on completing his Higher National Diploma in Game Development.
This scholarship was established following a Memorandum of Understanding between City of Dublin FET College, Ballyfermot and Black Shamrock to create a dedicated fund that supports student development and progression through industry-aligned opportunities.
A scholarship that supports industry-ready practice
As part of the scholarship support, Sean has built a new high-end custom PC workstation (pictured here with Principal, Cecilia Munro, City of Dublin FET College, Ballyfermot) to strengthen his production workflow and capacity for specialist Games tasks. The upgraded setup will support areas such as real-time rendering, high-resolution compositing, simulation, and portfolio production helping Sean to develop work to industry standard as he progresses through his final stages of study.
