Studying Digital Marketing & Content Development at BCFE was one of the best decisions I’ve made. The course gave me a strong foundation in digital marketing while also allowing me to develop practical, industry-relevant skills through hands-on projects and real work experience.

Throughout the year, we covered a wide range of subjects including Digital Marketing, Public Relations, Communications, Graphic Design, Advertising, Media Analysis, Web Authoring, Work Experience, and Writing Skills for Journalism. This variety helped me discover different areas of the industry and build confidence using creative and digital tools.

One of the things I appreciated most about the course was how practical it was. We didn’t just learn theory—we created content, worked on real projects, developed campaigns, built websites, and gained valuable work experience that prepared us for employment. Thanks to the course, I built a portfolio, improved my communication and creative skills, and gained the confidence to start my career in digital marketing.

The teaching staff were incredibly supportive and always willing to help. I’m especially grateful to my class coordinator who was always approachable, encouraging, and genuinely cared about every student’s success. Her support and guidance throughout the year made a real difference to my learning experience.

Since completing the course, I have secured a role in social media marketing, and I will also be continuing my education at Dublin City University, studying Multimedia. BCFE gave me the skills, confidence, and experience I needed to take this next step, and I would highly recommend this course to anyone interested in a career in digital marketing or content creation.

I completed the Digital Marketing course at Ballyfermot College, and overall, I had a very positive experience. The course not only helped me improve my digital marketing knowledge but also significantly improved my English, as it is not my first language. The teachers were highly professional, patient, and supportive throughout the course. They always took the time to explain concepts clearly and made sure everyone understood the material. One of the things I appreciated most was the practical approach to learning. The course included many hands-on activities that helped me develop real-world skills and confidence.

Another valuable part of the programme was the two-week work placement, which gave me practical experience and the opportunity to apply what I had learned in a professional environment. Overall, I would recommend Ballyfermot College to anyone looking to develop their skills in Digital Marketing while studying in a supportive and encouraging learning environment.

Before starting my course in Ballyfermot, I had recently finished my Leaving Cert. I had decided I wanted to go to college. I  found the Digital Marketing and Content Creation course and wanted to see what it would be like and what could it lead to.

My experience during the course was that it was different to what I expected it to be. I thought that it would be more social media focused but was more spread over different areas such as public relations and multimedia web authoring.

My time and experience in the college was good as I met lots of new people and learned new things in the course.  I am set to do the two year Higher National Diploma for Business in the college this year and next year.  From doing this new course I hope to go on and do my university degree in business and pursue a career in business.
